Arundhati's Journey

Arundhati's fondest childhood memories revolve around her mother’s jewelry. Whether it was heaping multiple necklaces around her neck and happily preening at the camera at age 2, or getting caught rummaging through the jewelry drawer at age 7; or worse, getting into serious trouble for misplacing precious diamond ear-studs as a teenager – jewelry has always played a significant role in her emotional quotient and her memory box.
Having graduated from the top-rated ESSEC Business School in Paris and selected to the prestigious LVMH program to specialise in Luxury Brand Management, Arundhati's first tryst with exceptional jewelry and jeweled watches was in 2008 whilst working at the Cartier Middle-East and Asia Headquarters in Dubai. Post graduation, Arundhati began working for New York-based Engagement ring specialist A. JAFFE, as they opened their first boutique in Mumbai.
But her pivotal experience in the world of High Jewelry expertise and sales came from her 5 years at NIRAV MODI, as a ‘grande vendeuse’. It was here she got the necessary training and exposure to incredibly-crafted jewelry, designed for the most discerning collector.
A contributing writer on jewelry for Harper’s Bazaar India and other leading publications, she began her journey to bring her passion for jewelry to the world, through her Instagram handle @arundhatidesheth. It is her way to convey her mood, her aesthetics and her thoughts on all things jewelry.
In 2019 Arundhati began her eponymous jewelry consultancy. She wants to help people make even the ‘smallest’ jewelry purchase significant, aesthetic and memorable. She aims to aid individuals make luxurious, noteworthy and smart jewelry acquisitions.
